Last lunch in the dorm

There is a jijig delguur (small shop, my mongolian is too good!) in my dorm where you can buy almost everything you want!
I love their sandwiches so for my last lunch here I treated myself with 2!
ummmm delicious :-)

Farewell farewell

Yesterday I had a great farewell with my english students!

First they have invited me to a nice restaurant, so much meat, I almost died :-)

Then we went to the mongolian national park to make a bicycle ride

In Mongolia this is very dry, so this is dust that you see :-)
We were 5 so we rented one bicycle here

and the rest of us on this one, so much fun
I was on the back with Duya and we were just enjoying the ride while Gundee and Javkhlan or Zolboo were cycling :-)

Here the version with Zolboo who actually cycle a lot, so we were going fast :-)

We made some stop at the wolf statue

:-)

And at the falcon statue and Zolboo as a professional cycler disappeared somewhere :-)

And after that direction karaoke, big decision about which songs :-)

And they offered me a small morin khuur

This is just beautiful!

And today was the farewell from my colleagues!

Also there I received some great presents!

I particularly enjoy the Chinggis khan with the signatures!
Now work is finish for me, holidays and I hope travel in Mongolia
We will see :-)

Here we have very cute chess games, with mongolian caraters but I don't play chess so ...

Otherwise you have this version of mongolian caracters :-)

And these are some frames you can buy, actually you can buy so many frames incredible.
This is very representative of Mongolia but I don't know how it's called!

And these are Kazakhs  design.
The design is completely different from mongolian one, you can spot it very easily, they do a lot of embroidery, which mongolian doesn't

And here the tops, mainly in silk and very colorful, I really like it!

Would love to take one home!!!

I want to buy everything, but ...

I don't have enough space in my suitcase
I am so sad, I have to see how I do

But a small one is definitively in :-)

And still at the souvenir shop - Morin khuur

Of course in this shop you can find a lot of things related to Morin khuur, this is the traditional instrument of Mongolia!!!!

You can have small ones in a frame :-)
And actually I have seen that by a lot of people !

Or buy the real one, but I am not so sure of the quality, I guess most of the people just use it as a decoration

This is not exactly a morin khuur but a bit related though :-)
I really like this kind of art!!!

And finally, but that was not in this souvenir shop, I bought myself some essential things for my moring khuur
Some partitions and a камертон, which is a tuner, metronome

And this thing here is called: ганиорол/ давархай
This is actually tree resin, used to put on my string to make them more sticky
Now I am fully ready to become a world famous player!!!!

and now my new series, I am going to Nomin souvenir center - First part the shoes!!!!

I really like the souvenir center from the big Nomin store in peace avenue.

Today I was in the mood to have a cake, so I want to the shop of the dorm.
And I bought that!

Yes it is written Napoleon cake
Because in Mongolia you can eat the famous Napoleon cake!!!

And to continue with french food I bought myself a pain au chocolat and a chausson aux pommes, how delicious :-)

There is a new campaign in the streets of UB to tell the people that they have to put their garbage in a trash-bin.
I think this is a great idea and I have seen that the people are doing it more and more often!
Next step is to have proper trash-bin for the apartments and proper trash factories!
But I am sure it will come soon !
