Day trip in Toulouse

Toulouse is called the pink city because of the color of the buildings.

This is inside the town hall, so can see some impressionist paintings
And some amazing galleries
with also beautiful paintings on the celling
here it says the the Duc of Montmorency was executed here...
This is the St Sernin basilica.
This basilica is part of the St Jacques de Compostella pilgrim, that's why you can see some of them
Inside there are some free guide and you can visit the top part of the basilica
and see some nice sculpture from Violet leduc
A nice decorated passage in the city
And everywhere old buildings with impressive wooden doors
This is the Jacobin covent
And this is a picture from a mirroe in the ground, and yeh you can see me finally!
This one is the cathedral St Etienne
And the last building we visited was the Hotel of Assezat, now this is a museum
I also like these kind of doors, better than today's ring, right?

Gaillac

Gaillac is a small town near where my grand-ma is living
This is an occitan small city, this is the type in south of France
The colors of the city are really great
especially when you manage to come in the golden hour!
This is inside the church, I found the glass reverberation on the wall beautiful
Also a great sculpture  inside
and the organ that you can find in every big french church.
This is played during special ceremonies like wedding
The bridge over the Tarn (name of the river)
Beautiful flowers outside of the church
and the wooden carved door of the church
And since it was very hot that day, this grand-ma (not mine) is resting outside :-)
And this you find also in every french city, this is to commemorate the soldiers that died during the 2 big wars (monument aux morts)

Day trip in Arles

Yesterday I was in Arles
A nice old city in south of France
You can see many things there, like a great church
some narrow streets with nice shop fronts
hehe really french
Or some nice cafes
But the highlight is the arena
and since they are restoring them they look really nice
In the inside
and the outside where they still do some shows in the summer
And there the trees have pullovers because 35 degrees seems to cold :-)
Funny one!
And this was a nice museum (with aircon which was a great joy!)
And this painting represents a typical woman from Arles, an Arlesienne
Some gargoyles that I really love
And a very nice architecture
I also visited a cloister  that they are also restoring
And after it looks beautiful like that
If you are around Arles is really worth a visit :-)

Carrière d'image

Today I went to the Carrière d'image
This is an old stone-pit where they project images on the wall
This time the subject was Klimt and Vienna
It was an incredible show with so many paintings
I let you admire :-)
And of course the show was with classical music
You can stay in one place
Or just walk around
Or sit down
And stay as long as you want
Really nice and cool inside (but not outside!)
The paintings are from Klimt and some other Austrian painters

And this is the outside of the pit-stone
If you are near les Beaux de Provence I recommend
