This was my new year dinner, since I am pretty sick I am better home :-)

Still Christmas!!!!

Yesterday I met some of my friends from Japan and I received great present!
Torimon, food, food, food!

And then this new year mochi (rice cake)
Always wanted one but never got the chance!
So Happy!

Paris la Villette

While I was on my way to see a circus in La villette I took some pictures

Christmas dinner in France is something!!!
First we had some foie gras on grilled toast

Then some salmon with lemon

A monster goose! (Still have a lot left!!!!)

And inside the goose some feeding with maroons

Vegetables and potatoes to go with it
Some cheese, I forget to take a picture!

And the cake called the buche
This one was also with marrons

Isn't it marvelous!
Of course before that we had an apero
And with the dessert some Champagne!

As for me I continue with food, christmas lunch and a second christmas dinner!
OMG!!!

Decorations in Paris

Now I am back in France and in Paris
The weather is not that great...
So I went to see some christmas decorations at the big shopping malls!

I found these ones very poetic!

As for the following ones they are original I would say!

Unfortunately it was during the day so there are some reflexions...

But you can still have a good look at what it is

Every year this is a different one

I really like this one, and sometimes there is also a light show with it

Last day in Tokyo and Japan

For my last day in Tokyo I decided to get future/fortune telling
So here how it goes, you make a wish then you have a bottle with stick inside
You make one stick go out
There is a number on it
And then with this number you get a paper telling you your fortune for this wish
And as you can see this is pretty good!

This is the Japanese version of it!

I did it of course in Asakusa and then I left my paper there
Hope my wish comes true!

At the exit there was a really beautiful girl wearing a kimono

And the sky was perfectly clear
What a good way to finish my stay in Asalusa, Tokyo and Japan

Fugu!!!!

There are still many things I didn't try in Japan and one of them was to eat some Fugu
You know the fish that if not well prepared will kill you!

It looks like that after preparation
Taste is good, fresh
Nice to try

But when you see what you have just eaten you kind of wonder
I ate that horrible looking thing??????

And for 5 euros you can also have this lunch
Didn't see the head of the fishes but was delicious!!!

The illuminations were very nice, just love it, so relax and magic!

This remind me of a French building, which one I am wondering :-)

I know I know but chanko nabe is delicious so why not!!!
Won't make me a sumo right???

In Asakusa and Ginza

I cannot be in Toyko without going to Asakusa and without eating my Taiyaki!
This one was chocolate or custard :-)

And of course after that direction the temple
The oldest one in Japan!

This is Ginza one of the most famous shopping district in Tokyo
And this is miss Hello Kitty!

And Bulgari is having the money to make this splendid decoration

I like the reflexion of the building in the other one

But back to my favorite place and my favorite view
And I was lucky that night the sky was red!

As the temple starting to get illuminated

Making an even more frightening impression

At night everything there seems to be even more red
I just love the impression
definitively my favorite place in Tokyo
