Aix la Chapelle, Germany is not too far from Brussels by train
There you can visit the cathedral with some tombs
Very very old doors
And an amazing celling, even if my picture is not that good
So high with brights colors
This city was the favorite of Charlemagne, and where many german kings were crowned
Looks like a donjon
Absinthe
This ine is an old restaurant, I really the all wooden style
One of the main square, so sunny that day
and the huge city hall
The city has kept all the old buildings which make s it very interesting to visit
Like the fountain with people playing around

Villages in Provence
In Provence, south of France you have a lot of beautiful small villages: Les baux
Lourmarin, where the famous french writer Albert Camus died
This is the country of Lavande, smelling so good, in soap or just like that to put in the clothes
Narrow streets with Ivy
Old doors in wood
And again the Lavande
The famous ocre colors and the green or blue of the windows
Detail of a door
Would like to have one like that one day

Carrière de lumières
Near les Baux de provence there is an attraction called: Carrière de lumières
It is in caves where they were extracting some stones. Now they project some paintings on the wall with music
This year was Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphäel
Their paintings are projected everywhere, you can walk around or just sit somewhere to enjoy the show
On of my favorite scene was this one
Around you have the amazing landscapes of the Alpilles
This was was an exhibit in the nearby village of the Baux de provence
This is for people taking too long to take a picture :-)
