Tsagaan sar

This is a long holiday in Mongolia: tsagaan sar, white month, the new year's eve.
I was invited by some friends of mine.
On the sunday night we eat and drink  and mongolian people they talk, but I don't understand!
We eat a lot of buuz, meat, sweets, when I say a lot this is really a lot!!!
On the monday morning we show our respect to older people. So we went to the mother of my friends to present our respect, saying: Амар байна уу? (Amar baina uu?), meaning "Is there peace?", and we usually give some money.
In return you receive some presents: these are mine: sweet, cream for the hand and some tights: great!!!!

On the evening I was also dressed nice and the mother was wearing a great deel.
Many people buy new clothes for this occasion, because you start the new year, so the shopping malls and shops were really full!
Once again I have eaten too much and tomorrow the school organize a lunch for the teachers, mamamia

But as you may see it very warm here in UB, so you can digest all the food :-)

And this new year is the year of the snake. And as you can see I think coca cola has done a great publicity with it!
Really mongolian!

Foood

I am really happy because  I finally found some food that I was missing: Mac apple tea, all fake and sweet but delicious, then the Süütei Tsai, the milk tea and some mongolian cakes (Boortsog), that are just too good!

There are also many japanese restaurants, there I had a great soup

But with some mongolian bread called малх, talch, very good
hehe yes I like to eat!!!!

There is a new little pleasure!

Crepes

This week-end I thought that I will try to make some crepes.
So I bought milk: easy…., flour: easy…., eggs: easy…., sugar: easy…. this is the very big bag!
Well easy to buy everything!!!

Then I have done my receipt,  this is also easy :-)

The cooking part was a bit more challenging!!
I have the tools, but it needs so long to get hot, and the first time I wanted to eat, so I didn't wait enough!
The 2nd time was really great, but it takes me like 10 minutes to cook one crepe, yes I told you very slow!!!

But this is the result with tuna in eggs sauce.
I was really delicious!
I will do it again!

View from my room

One of the most beautiful thing in Mongolia is the sky!

 Every morning, when I manage to wake up early :-), then I can see a great sunrise!

Otherwise I see that, ok not so nice, but I like it :-)

ok this is nicer :-)

But still during the day, look at that, all white and these mountains

and these buildings, I don't know what they are!
But still as I said I like the view, and I am looking a long time everyday !!!
