Last night dinner

Hum I had a great dinner last night!
I steamed some mongolian potatoes and carrots and some onion (well I don't know from where ..) and some bacon (same situation here, from where??? Maybe russian), very delicious :-)

And then mongolian yogurt with some mandarines
Good good and with some tea, just perfect!

I am registered!!!!

After 2.5 weeks of running everywhere, from one office to get a paper that gives me the right to go to the next one and so one.
Collecting million of papers, giving a lot of photos (They should have a wall full of my pictures!!!) and of course money and time (sometimes I was waiting 4 hours at some ministry).
I am finally fully registered!

But this done, now I am ok on this side :-)

A week-end in Bayangol

This week-end was the teacher's day. So we had an event in the country side.
We have taken the train (around 3 hours) to go there.
But there was enough food and fun! I haven't seen the time:-)

After that we got some lunch (yes again). This was delicious, potatoes soup with meat :-)

We were a lot of teachers there. This is some of the girls, with me, if you can see me:_)

And in the afternoon we have done some games.
One of them was the rope, our team has finished 2nd, that's why we got some candies and drinks :-)

This is the place were we where staying. I had a nice room with Zolboo.
This is a very big complex with billiard, disco, restaurants and many many rooms!

One of the second game was sumo :-)
It was so great! Just look at the videos!!

In this resort you can also sleep in a ger, but it's still very cold at night, a room is better I think

Or you can sleep in a chalet. I have not seen anybody there but who knows...

There was another game with no pictures. It was a team game with running, jumping, turning and soccer, very funny!!!

In the evening there was a big fire and we had some hot wine and of course some food!
People were singing around the fire, it was really nice!

Then we had a dinner, with a lot of food!

I mean really a lot, and not just food :-)
I was exploding!!!
There was also some music and a singer with a beautiful voice!

After that we had a show from some of the teachers!
Michael Jackson and Gangnam style a la Mongol, really great!!!

There was also a lot of games and food again, but this chicken was delicious!
Then disco, then room party with some eating and drinking and a lot of laughing.
By the way if you go in these resorts with mongolian and expect to sleep you have all wrong :-)

Next day, I played soccer by -20 degrees in the snow, actually it was great fun!!!
Then back to UB, really tired!
But this was really a great week-end!

Graduation ceremony

Yesterday there was a graduation ceremony for some students that are finishing the university.
The director here, has made a speech as well as many other teachers.

Then the students were called to received their certificate.

They were all dressed with the graduation dress it was very nice.

There was really a lot of them!

and the nicest thing was that someone played the morin khuur, the traditional horse guitar.

this is one of the place I hate the most in Mongolia and I have to go there so often this is terrible…
This is far away, one hour bus, then 15 minutes walk in the snow…
This is not this building but the one next to it :-)

So I have been already once, now I have to go again and again…
This is really difficult, but I hope I will have all my paper soon!

Otherwise, no this is not too cold right now :-)

Party

This Sunday I was invited by Khuder for his PhD graduation party.
This is my personal invitation!

And this is a poem, but I have to say I don't remember the meaning ….

This is Khuder!
We went one hour away from UB, in the country side then :-)

and there was a lot of congratulations talks, with a lot of present for Khuder, but

there was a lot of food, my god really a lot, 3 main courses (full of meat of course), and then  fruits and chocolate and cheese...

and drinks! But actually I wanted to take the big cake in the background :-)

this was a great afternoon, but the way back was long, there is so much traffic jam in UB, mamamia !!!

dinner

Since I am back here, then I want to eat and drink all the things I love.
Salty milk tea, delicious!!!

then be ready: bread from Mongolia, jam from Russia or Germany, yoghurt  Mongolia, butter Russia, cheese France (yeahhhh) , potatoes, cucumber Mongolia, chicken hummm not sure, tea England!!!

Meaaaaaaat from Mongolia of course!
Now I need to buy some sweats and chocolate :-)

my room

Actually I don't have a room, I have an apartment and this is very big!
I have a dinning/kitchen room, with a nice sofa

My kitchen part with a brand new fridge

Then I have my bedroom, with a very big bed and a real mattress

then I have a sitting room, I don't know what to do there so, I do nothing :-)

My bathroom with a great shower!!!!

and my toilets!

All that 2 minutes walk from my work!
This is really luxus and for the moment this is very quiet, let's cross the finger!!!!

Welcome back to Mongolia

After a very long trip: Hotel- Narita, departing 6 am, Narita-Seoul, Seoul- UB, I am back to UB.

And as you can see this is not winter!

No this is not snow

No this is not all white

See there is sun!!!

Seriously, this is the Mongolian winter, snow and cold of course!!!!
But this is a nice feeling to be back!
Prof. Ganbat and Zolboo came at the airport to pick me up, now I am in the visa paper running mode...
