I got it!!!!

Wouah so happy!!!!
One piece of the cake that I got yesterday and saved for today had the pea!
I am the queen, so cool, here the cat of the house is wearing it proudly!

Epiphany

In my home town Montrouge there was a free epiphany cake with a parade

Of course we have the 3 magi that came to offer gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh for Jesus

One is Melchior

Then we have Caspar

And Balthazar
Actually not sure who is who :-)

But the highlight for me was the cake!
This is the giant cake, so cool!!!!!

And if you find the pea you have the crown to be king or queen of the day

So happily I had my cake to be the queen with no success...
So I had another one, same
And another one :-) same
After that I stopped because it is not the pea I will become :-)

Now I am full of cake (Galette in French) and I am going to rest!!!

New year's card again!

I received two new year's card again!
Ok I checked already no win at the lottery, but on this one there is a fortune slip and it seems pretty good!
That's the thing written under : おみくじ
And also what I like is that this year is the year of the Aries, so cool!

And this one is so cute so poetic, love it!

New year's lottery

In some of the Japanese new year's card you received you have a number at the bottom which is for a lottery

And then you can go on this website to check if you won!
Unfortunately I didn't....
Well next year!

spaghetti a la mochi!

If you follow my adventures you know that I have received a Japanese mochi
And I was supposed to eat it on the 15th!
So I looked carefully at the instructions :-)
Well mainly I looked at the 2 pictures to open it!

Then I tried to melt it in the stove
but it was too big
So I managed to cut it in small pieces (pretty hard) to make it melt

And then I added it to my spaghetti carbonara
Pretty good actually!
Hope it will bring me luck!!!

My Mongolian dinner

I have made some Mongolian buuz
Mix some water to the flour, then make the small shape
Prepare a meat mix
And then stuffed with meat and do the beautiful form

Steam it 20 minutes

And there you are!
So proud of myself!
So good!

Epiphany

A few day ago there was the epiphany, which commemorates the visit of the Magi to the Christ child.

In this occasion we eat a cake with almond and inside there is a bean (nowadays a small character). The person who got it is the king or the queen! I wasn't but still ok!

And this is our "nursery" with the magi and Jesus and the rest!
