Rugby

Yesterday there was a rugby game in Fukuoka and the school with some Japanese english students has organized an event there.

So we all went to the stadium to see the game

the stadium is really big but it's all open and it was a little bit cold!

That was the first time for me to see a rugby game.
I don't remember the name of the teams, but blue is from Fukuoka and not so good

and yellow is one of the best team

what is impressive is the number of gaijin playing, mostly from New-Zeland

But don't worry there are also Japanase

During the break there was a small show

and this the the game !!

Even if it doesn't look like that on that picture the blue have lost

this is other colors???
Oh yeah there watch another game before the game :-)

That thing (melee in french) was really impressing!!!

So we all had great fun, match was great, people were really nice, great Saturday!!!

Shirahama

So today it finally stopped raining!!!
And we went out to the beach!

Shirahama is a very nice place with it's famous rock

the rock has an hole in the middle that's why it's famous!!

but the best is the beach with white sand!

and yes it's almost november but the water is 25 degrees and very nice to swim:-)

well in Japan there is a risk everywhere

but still look at that beach and the water!!!
Jealous??

And we are in a ryokan, traditional japanese hotel, and I wear my yukata to go to the onsen:-)

and that's the room with tatami floor, small table and everything!

near the hotel there is also a foot bath, so great, especially when it was evilly raining yesterday!!!

and also near the hotel there is a big supermarket, and we go go around 7pm30 many things are 50% off, so you can have dinner like a king for nothing!!!

otherwise you can go to a Korean barbecue

to eat vegetables

I'm kidding!
To eat meatttttt and also delicious sea food!

look at that, just perfect!!!
So today is our last day in Shirahama, tomorrow I go back to Fukuoka and Herve to Tokyo...

Back to Japan!!!

Yes we are back after a short flight!
First night in Wakayama, hotel with onsen and now Shirahama, ryokan with onsen (notice the difference!!)
But there was a matsuri...

a nice one with people carrying some stuff (I don't know the name)

it's boys and girls and they run everywhere with it!

and of course older men are doing crazier!!!

and some Shintoist priest doing some blessing

this could have been some sumo training but no...

there was some dragon dance

beautiful one done by very young to older people

 there is one doing the dragon and one following

in the shrine

a cute baby:-)

and on the main stage there were also some male actors, fighting the dragon

I'm not sure if they are good or evil.
But after that back to the ryokan and the very big onsen with tons of beauty products that I tried!
Good that we are there 3 days :-)

end of Taiwan and Yehliu

2 days ago we went to Maokong with this gondola to be a little bit in the nature, but it's still very crowded...

But we have seen some durian, asian fruit smelling extremely bad but very appreciated.
I never managed to try it, the smell is just horrible ...

From the top you can see Tapei 101, the big tower of Taiwan

On the top you have a lot of tea houses

and of course they produce tea:-)

Yesterday we went to see this famous big tower, over 500 meters

and today for our final day we wanted to have some nature so we went to Yehliu the geopark.

there you can see a lot of nice stone formation and me there too :-)

a lot of great shapes everywhere

and since it's near the sea and the sea is quite active you have some safety measure

and this is not a joke it can be quite dangerous actually

but it's really beautiful to see

and you have the sea and we managed not to have too many people, yeahhh finally!

I let you admire all the shapes!

And they have a lot of fossils so Herve was happy with that!

this is the kind of busses we have taken to go there.
Tonight for our last night we go again in the night market to have some rice sheet!
Tomorrow yokoso Japan!
But I really enjoyed Taipei, was really nice, different, a bit too much noise for me, but the great food is compensating :-)
