Kotohira

Today we have done a day trip to Kotohira.
This is a Shintoist pilgrim site.
This shrine is dedicated to the sea. And this is one of the biggest oldest lighthouse  in Japan.
And in case you don't know where to go, just follow the hand or all the tourists (second choice)
and in case this is not clear you have to press the button here in order to order something :-)
The shrine is 1368 steps away from the station, yes it's a lot, but to help you have a lot of shops on the way!
and they have also some Kabuki theater and they do a lot of masks
this is a priest I think, I'm not sure actually, but the statue is nice :-)
this is a big and beautiful lantern
and some details
on the way to the shrine, hopefully there is some shadow :-)
this shrine is also dedicated to some animals, a dog and later a horse, I don't know why either, yes sorry sorry...
And on thet day there was a running challenge, oh my god that was terrible
Here they receive their ending prize !!!
Not for me
That's the main shrine
We were lucky to see a traditional wedding on that day!
With some music :

I let you admire the details
and the horse I told you!
and the stairs, I told you too :-)
But I survived them so everything is ok!
for me it looks like a big fan, but actually it was from a boat, cause shrine dedicated to the sea!!!
After that shinkansen direction Osaka, because tomorrow we fly to Taiwan!!!
